Levels

Intermediate
You’ve been dancing Lindy Hop regularly for at least 6 months and you’ve also already attended some social dance events. You know the basic 6- and 8-count rhythms and have already started to mix them in your social dance. You can lead/follow a swingout, a circle and a tuck turn. You also know the basic 6- and 8-count rhythms in Charleston (side-by-side, sendout, pass-by, lead-in). You’re a motivated dancer and maybe you’ve already attended some weekend workshops in your local scene or elsewhere.
Intermediate-Advanced
You’ve been dancing Lindy Hop regularly for at least 12 months and you frequently attend social dance events in your local scene or elsewhere. You are able to mix 6- and 8-count patterns smoothly, you know all the basic Lindy moves (swingout and swingout variations like texas tommy, circle, tuck turn etc.) and you like to play around with Charleston moves (hand-to-hand, tandem). You’re aware of the basic music structure and are comfortable dancing to medium and faster music tempos. Since you’re a motivated dancer, you attend weekend workshops in your local scene or elsewhere and you’ve already experienced at least one international workshop.
Advanced
You’ve been dancing Lindy Hop regularly for a couple of years and you can’t imagine life without going regularly to social dance events. You don’t think strictly in 6- and 8-count patterns any more, but are able to improvise other rhythms. You love to put some solo jazz into your dancing and are able to improvise to the music while leading/following. You feel comfortable dancing to fast or even very fast tempos. You are a regular visitor of international festivals in your homeland or abroad.
Solo Jazz
Levels
Please read the level descriptions carefully before registering. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
Beginner-Intermediate
You already know a few basic Solo Jazz moves, e.g. Box Step, Tacky Annie, Boogie Forward, Boogie Back, Fall off the Log, etc. You are familiar with swing music and feel comfortable dancing to it. You are ready to push a little bit further, you would like to expand your vocabulary and learn a thing or two about rhythm and improvising to the music.
Intermediate-Advanced
You have been dancing Solo Jazz for at least a year and regularly go to Solo Jazz classes or have even attended an international workshop. You have a solid Solo Jazz vocabulary, you know the Shim Sham and have also learned either the Tranky Doo, the Big Apple or the Trickeration. As a result, you can cope with a faster learning pace. You have already explored the topic of musicality to some extent and are able to improvise a little and adapt your movement to the music.
