Meet our Teachers:
Lindy Hop & Solo Jazz classes

Ana & Samu (Berlin)

Originally from Spain, Ana and Samu run their own dance school in Berlin (Rayuela Swing) since 2020 and have been teaching and dancing together for over 4 years.

Their main values are respect for the history of the music and the dance, connection and communication amongst dancers, and self-expression. In their classes they strive for personal feedback, material that can be used way beyond the hours shared in the classroom, and creating an environment where fun, growth and vulnerability can co-exist.

Thanh Thanh (Paris)

Thanh Thanh Nguyễn stumbled upon Lindy Hop in 2016 and has since embarked on an incredible journey, letting her passion for dance be her life’s compass. In Vietnam, she became part of the Saigon Swing Cats and learned about the African American roots of jazz. Her connection to swing dance and funky grooves grew even stronger.

In 2021, Thanh Thanh Nguyễn relocated to Europe, where she continued to hone her dance craft and broadened her perspective on contemporary dance. She is now happily based in Paris, ready to share her dance wherever the rhythms take her. In her classes, she teaches authentic jazz moves while also encouraging everyone to find their own expressions through self-awareness and improvisation!

Meet our teachers:
After workshop classes

Audrey is a certified Vinyasa yoga teacher (200 hours). She loves to explore movement in mindful yet challenging practices. In addition to yoga, she is also passionate about dance, particularly the connection between body movement and rhythm as a form of expression. She has explored this connection in Contemporary Dance, Swing Dance and Solo Jazz. At the Bottoms Up! Festival, Audrey will be teaching yoga for dancers.

Andrea ist no stranger to the Lindy Hop dance floors, yet feels at home on the yoga mat. She loves to bring different worlds together and is driven by the search for flow in breathing, in movement and in connection to other people. Her classes are playful, precise and light-hearted at the same time. At the Bottoms Up! Festival, she will invite participants to experience yoga as a unifying experience of body, breath and community.

Katrin and Jesús discovered their passion for Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz in 2013. Since 2015, they’ve been teaching these dance styles. In 2019, they founded Swing Times, which offers weekly classes, weekend workshops and social dances. They are committed to fostering equality of (gender-independent) dance roles, as well as honoring the roots of swing dances and creating an inclusive teaching atmosphere. At the Bottoms Up! Festival they will be teaching a class about the evolution of swing music. (Photo: Martin May)
