Tracks, Levels and passes

Bottoms Up! features two tracks: Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz. Each track has two levels. The great thing about it is that all participants will get to meet all three teachers!

And of course there will be a party!

You‘re a highly motivated dancer and would like to book two tracks? Great! We'd like to reward your commitment by offering you a (discounted) package price! Simply register for both tracks and we'll get back to you.

Levels

Each track has two levels. Please read the level descriptions carefully before registering and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Lindy Track levels

Intermediate

You have been dancing for several months, attend classes regularly and already have social dance experience. Your basics are solid: You feel comfortable dancing basic Lindy moves (Swing Out, Circle, Send Out, Pass By, Charleston Basic, Tandem Charleston) and you are familiar with the concept of musicality. You are able to mix 6-count and 8-count on the dance floor. You also have the ability to dance to faster songs both in social dancing and in class.

Intermediate-Advanced

You have been dancing for at least two years and already have a lot of social dance experience. You may even have attended an international workshop. Communication while dancing comes naturally to you, i. e. you no longer have to think about it consciously. You have been able to go deeper into the topic of musicality and have the ability to improvise on the dance floor and move to the music.

Solo Track Levels

Beginner-Intermediate

You already know a few basic Solo Jazz moves, e.g. Box Step, Tacky Annie, Boogie Forward, Boogie Back, Fall off the Log, etc. You are familiar with swing music and feel comfortable dancing to it.

Intermediate-Advanced

You have been dancing Solo Jazz for at least a year and regularly attend Solo Jazz classes or have even attended an international workshop. You know the Shim Sham and have also learned either the Tranky Doo, the Big Apple or the Trickeration. As a result, you can cope with a faster learning pace. You have already explored the topic of musicality to some extent and are able to improvise a little and adapt your movement to the music.

*Prices

You can pay the festival fee by bank transfer to the account specified in the email. After you get the confirmation email, you'll be required to pay the full ticket price within five weekdays. Keep in mind that there are three different prices:

  • You are welcome to claim the reduced solidarity price if, for instance, you are a student/a trainee/retired/temporarily unemployed or if you have a disability. (Proof of eligibility must be provided in order to qualify for the discounted price.) The above are merely examples and the list is not meant to be exclusive: If you believe that you are eligible for the discounted price for other reasons (not listed here) or if you are unable to afford the solidarity price, please contact us. We will definitely try to work something out.

  • You are welcome to pay the supporter price if you would like to help others who are currently unable to afford the full price to attend the festival. The amount exceeding the regular price will be donated to a support fund, which we will use to fund the attendance of people who would otherwise not be able to afford the festival.

  • All prices include 19% VAT.
